Some of the greasemonkey scripts (dead finder, reindexer, etc.) seem to not be working.  Don't know if that is because things are still rebuilding or if the scripts need to be redone with the new server.  On my way out the door so can't give details right now on which ones are not working for me but will update if needed.

edit we can't really fix these as they're on your own PC, see authors for fixes

URL:  http://blogshares.com/topblogs.php?begin=750&end=1000

Function:  Trying to access the top 750 - 1000 blogs from the Top 500 page  (same problem going from top 100 page)

How to reproduce:  Click on the link

Expected outcome:  That blogs 750 - 1000 would load

Actual outcome:  blank screen with only this - "List Generation Time: 0.000s"

URL: http://blogshares.com/blogs.php?checkid=15886366

Function:  Clicked on index incoming to index 20 incoming links

How to reproduce:  Click on "Re-index incoming"  [update:  Same error for "Re-index outgoing"]

Expected outcome:  A list of 20 blogs that link to this blog would appear and be placed in the PQ

Actual Outcome:  "System Messages:
Fatal: Submitted blog URL & RRID do not match up! Strange encoding or tampering evident."

update:  Getting this error for incoming and outgoing on multiple blogs.  Index of the actual blog itself however is working.

Tried to do a press release.
It accepts the first page to post the message then you push the button preview press release then everything is gone.
So at the moment its not working (maybe on purpose) but I thought i mention it.

cheers

Problem with accented characters in industry and usernames - different encoding used when importing the database? I know that's been a problem for me when moving between MySQL 4.0 and 5.0

Building artefacts in industries which one holds over 10K ideas isn't working currently

More information Needed
Please edit this post and provide the following information:

1. What artefact you are trying to build.
2. Where you are trying to build it from (include URL)
3. How many ideas you have

I just tested it from the Industry Page and from the Arte Tool Redux, and had no problems:
"You have successfully built a 'Lonar Crater Lake' at a cost of 10,000 idea commodities. Congratulations!"

Blog search function not working

More Information Needed
1. What blog(s) in particular are not showing up? (Give us some examples to play with).
2. What are you searching for? (Title? URL? Something else?)
3. Where are you conducting this search? (include URL, or if from the search box, the link to the result page)

I've searched for a couple I know are in the system and they came right up. There may be issues with Twitter (they changed the URL structure while we were down. We are actively aware and trying to resolve this).

Thanks!

I noticed something yesterday and today.  I had marked a bunch of blogs in one of my folders and clicked the "Buy" button.  Instead of taking me directly to a screen where I could choose the amount of shares and complete the purchase, I was taken to a Captcha screen, told that it had detected behavior that was possibly harmful to Blogshares and was asked to type in a couple of words.

1.  How is buying shares harmful to BlogShares?  I thought we want people to buy shares.
2.  Will this continue every time I buy shares?  It takes even more time on my dial-up connection and the Captcha image take even more time to load.
3.  Has there been a problem with people abusing the "Buy" button?  I thought that was why there was a 20 minute delay to buy more shares.

If there is any way I can help, please let me know.

Oh, and thanks for the hard work, time and effort in bringing the game back.

Enjoy the Game,

This is from the Web Application Firewall. It may mean you need to run an anti virus scan. I will examine the reason behind it when I get home mate and see what tripped it. This should NOT happen for genuine players and is something I need to sort out.

Thanks,

You Rock!

I have Norton which scans on an extra regular basis so that should not be the problem.

Another thing:  I tried to generate one of my searches and it does not show as being queued for generation.  No hurry, just checking some functionality.

OK, a half hour after I first tried to login I was finally able to login. Still have not received a email with the info I requested though.

*******************************************************************************
Ok, the game itself is not taking my password. I got locked out and tried the email option to have my password sent to me. So far no email has arrived. Maybe it takes awhile but I had to do the same for the forums and it worked like a charm immediately.

Fixed. Players can now use the 'forgotten password' link to have reset details emailed.

Blogs are showing up as "Unknown blog" in the transactions list. This applies even to blogs which have had transactions performed after the game started up again.

Status: Problem verified.  Working to identify a fix. (Ken 3/18 13:37)

The URL: any user's profile
The function (what you were trying to do - Be painfully specific): Trying to send chippies.
How to re-produce: Go to any user's profile, select Send chips.
Expected Outcome (if not blindingly obvious): Next screen would have, yonks boack, the user ID entered by default.
The Actual Outcome (include exactly any errors printed on screen: must enter the user ID.

Once user ID is entered, the system works fine (ie chippies are transferred after confirmation).

I can't find that particular entry in our provider's firewall logs. It may have been "one of those things". Has it happened since? The next time it happens if you can PM me the date, time, your IP address and what it was you were trying to do, that would be very very helpful.

In **some** blog listings, none of the industries already voted or names of relevant artefacts are showing up.

The URL: eg here
The function (what you were trying to do - Be painfully specific): For hyping up, PRD, etc
How to re-produce: [Apparently missing industries/artes continue to remain missing in a same blog listing, but I believe
this is rather recent, say, from a couple of days ago?]
Expected Outcome (if not blindingly obvious): Industy/Arte names should be showing (if you have the artes left)
The Actual Outcome (include exactly any errors printed on screen: Can't locate where to click! :)

I've no idea how wide-spread this is.

I believe this may be related to Moon Dial's problem.

The URL: A blog I voted on in December e.g. http://www.blogshares.com/blogs.php?blog=http%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fstratosathens
The function: I noticed my Pending Votes had dived from 99 to 66 within a few hours - I checked my transaction log but there were no chip transactions to indicate I'd had 33 votes modded. I picked a blog at random to see if old unmodded votes had been purged for some reason - my votes show up in my transaction log and when you click the Who Voted link, but no industries are associated with the blog.
How to re-produce: Look at blogs with votes prior to Dec 12 2011 to see if those industries appear on the blog page.
Expected outcome: Blogs with votes will have those industries listed on their blog page
The actual outcome: Blogs with votes will have 'None' listed under Industries, despite having votes.

I haven't checked other blogs.
