...studied singing at the Royal Manchester College of Music under Frederic Cox and at the Guildhall School of Music under Joseph Hislop, teacher of Jussi Bjoerling.
Upon leaving the Guildhall he decided to dedicate himself to school teaching and private teaching establishing the most succesfull studio in the North of England.
Ken became principal tenor at Northern Opera and for 17 years sang alongside some of the finest operatic talent known today including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Philip Langridge.
Despite being 72 years of age ken continues to produce singers at the highest international level, performing throughout Europe at leading venues including with conductors such as John Elliot Gardiner, Peter Schreier, Sir Colin Davis and Paul Daniel.
