William Edgar is another one who just popped up and we don't know how to connect him to the Tolle Family Tree. There is one theory that he was the son of Henson S. Tolle, and that may be, but we don't have any proof of that yet.
WILLIAM EDGAR TOLLE
The earliest record that we have for him so far puts him in Dallas County, Iowa in 1855.
William Edgar Tolle married Catharine Ganoe on 18 May 1858 in Dallas County, Iowa. The marriage was performed by A.W. Johnson, Minister of the Gospel.
William & Catharine had these children:

3) James L. Tolle born 8 Jun 1862
4) Ulysses G. Tolle b Apr 1864
5) Isaac W. Tolle b ca 1865
6) John E. Tolle b 28 Jul 1867
7) Mary b ca 1869
From a Dallas County, Iowa Directory comes this info "Tolle, W.E. farmer, Sec 10; PO Perry; born in Indiana in 1833; came to Iowa in 1854 and to this county in March 1855; owns 274 acres of land; has held offices of Justice of the Peace, Township Trustee, School Director, etc; he married Miss Catharine Ganoe in 1858; she was born in Champaign County IL;" plus more.
He appeared as grantee in deeds Jan 1867 and many others until Feb 1888.
He was a witness to several wills in Dallas County between 1869-1883. He appeared on the 1860 through 1880 census of Dallas County, Iowa. The 1880 census indicates he was born in Indiana and both parents born in Virginia.
He died on 2 Feb 1888 at the age of 54, and is buried in the Dawson Cemetery in Dallas County, Iowa.
After 1855, William Edgar Tolle spent the rest of his life in Dallas County, Iowa, but no one knows anything about him before he got there.
