Welcome to Theatre Amoeba!

This site is for people with artistic minds and hearts.  I believe that Theatre can exist in many shapes and forms and in many places.  Theatre is like an amoeba.  It is always changing, and we find it everywhere:  perhaps on the stage, or in the streets, maybe in the classroom.   Theatre Amoeba is currently located in Seoul, Korea where I am a professor at Seoul National University of Technology.

One of my favorite author's, Tom Robbins says:

"Amoeba leave no fossils. They haven't any bones. (No teeth, no belt buckles, no wedding rings) it is impossible to determine how long amoeba have been on Earth. Quite possibly they have been here since the curtian opened. The first amoeba may have just dripped down your leg. it is pointless to speculate. But the first amoeba, like the last and the one after that, is here, there and everywhere, for it's vehicle, it's medium is water."

"I can take any empty space and call it a bare stage.  A Man Walks across this empty space whilst  someone else is watching him, and this is all that is needed for an act of theatre to be engaged."

Peter Brook "The Empty Space"
